The fair-play rules for the app.
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms apply when you use the Halftime Oranges app or this website, both made by The School of Play. By using them you agree to these terms. We’ve kept them as plain as we can.
1Who can use it
The app is for adults (18 and over) who coach, manage or support a junior sports team. Children must not use the app themselves.
2Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play.
The games, sessions, diagrams, words and designs in Halftime Oranges belong to The School of Play. You’re welcome to run them with your team and share printouts and session cards with your families, but please don’t copy, sell or republish them.
3Free and Plus
The free version is free forever. Halftime Oranges Plus unlocks extra features and content. It is offered as:
- Monthly: A$4.99 a month.
- Annual: A$29.99 a year, starting with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Founders Lifetime: A$39.99, paid once.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Prices in other countries are set by the store.
4Subscriptions, trials and refunds
Plus is bought through the App Store or Google Play and charged to your store account. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
If you cancel during the 7-day free trial, you won’t be charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5Keeping kids safe
Halftime Oranges gives ideas and tools. The adults running a session are responsible for supervising children, checking the space and equipment, and following their sport’s and club’s safety rules, including heat, concussion and protective gear guidance.
Adapt any activity to suit the children in front of you. If something doesn’t feel safe, don’t do it.
6Using the app fairly
Please only add information about children with the permission of their parent or guardian, keep children’s details to the minimum the app asks for, and don’t use the app to harass, embarrass or exclude anyone.
Don’t try to break, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or this website.
7Your data
Your team’s information is stored on your phone. Keep a backup if it matters to you, because we can’t recover data that was only on a lost or reset phone. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
8Our responsibility
We work hard to make Halftime Oranges accurate and reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or available.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Plus in the previous 12 months. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing here takes those away.
9Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Halftime Oranges after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
